Synopsis

In a remote observatory in the Atacama, a graveyard-shift researcher notices a signal that should not exist — a coherent pulse at exactly one micron. Careers pivot overnight. Alliances shift. And somewhere on the mountainside, a single blinking dot refuses to look away.
